the first part of my dream was catching up with webtoons but reading one of them transitioned the plot of the dream to a comic and it was about this older professor lady in this academic-medieval-fantasy setting who everybody started to hate because she was right about what the kingdom (?) needed to do but nobody wanted to do it, something about ‘stop focusing on external threats and heroic fantasies, reroute to infrastructure’ and shit, I was working as her assistant and I cannot possibly emphasize how much dream-me was desperate to get with this woman. she said something about how even if she got fired because everybody hated her, she had enough savings to eat dinner alone for the next ten years and dream-me was practically vibrating next to her like (I’LL EAT DINNER WITH YOU FOR THE NEXT TEN YEARS!!!) and when we had to grade the students on. d&d???? she wasn’t familiar with the system and asked for my opinion so I was like. :/ I want you to fail everyone especially the ones who are picking stupid fights with you and pissing me off… BUT it’s actually strategy-based, not outcome-based, so you’re not supposed to pay attention to the luck aspect (dice rolling), you’re supposed to assess how initial strategy takes into account environmental factors as well as how it accounts for enemies/allies, and you’re supposed to assess how they execute it and maybe how they respond/course correct if things go wrong. and the professor was like ‘you’re always so reliable :)’ and I was like (UGH you’re so hot and nice and miserable. can we kiss.)
